The background paper is from Maja Design, heart die from Cheery Lynn.
First I made a big heart with gesso, then I painted the heart with three colours of Distress Stain. (Spun Sugar Victorian Velvet and Aged Mahogany). I let the colours run down the page before I left it to dry.
After the heart was all dry I stamped, inked, sprayed and spead on to the page. In the next picture you can see what I used.
Since I used both Iridescent Medium and Inca Gold, my page has quite a nice twinkle to it that is sadly lost in the photos.
To balance the darker die cut heart I decided to heat emboss above the photo in a matching colour.
I was inspired by the Birthday theme of the mood board so I chose a picture from a Birthday celebration. I picked up the pink, white and brown colours of the mood board when I made my 12x12 layout and I let the green colour in to make the compilation stand out better. When I saw the dotted high heeled shoe, I decided to use the dotted template and the stamp with circles. In the same way the criscrossed stamp with brown ink is made with the whicker basket in mind. The title "Happiness" was inspired from the word Happy in the mood board. Some flowers and a few bands of pearls sprikled over my page and then it was all done.
This is the inspirational mood board I was working with. It is the May challange over at Scrap Around The World challenge blog.
